The last few days that we spent in Idaho we wanted to soak up as much of the fresh North Idaho air as possible. We had a beautiful beach day where I took the boys down to the lake to go swimming while Daddy helped Uncle Brad back and Emy slept. They had a lot of fun in the water.
Then on Saturday Brent and I took our kids down town to walk around and follow the Mudgy and Millie trail (Mudgy and Millie is a children's book set in downtown Coeur d'Alene and the author of the book worked with a local sculptor to build Mudgy and Millie sculptures around downtown so you can follow the characters in the book around the town). We also had a picnic in the park. The kids really enjoyed that.
On Monday, our last day there we got a bunch of water floatation devices and were planning on floating down the Coeur d' Alene river but there were 50 mph winds that day and so we decided to go to the park instead. It was really windy, but the kids had a lot of fun. They even went swimming, there were some huge waves on the lake and the boys were pretty much body surfing, eventhough it was a little chilly, they still had a lot of fun. We had such a nice time with all of our friends and family and can't wait to get back.
