What did you do this summer?

We have had a pretty fun summer so far.  I am going to see if I can remember everything......
In May we moved from Beaufort, SC.  For about a month we were homeless so I went up to Idaho and Brent took care of most of the moving activities.  It made the transition amazingly smooth for me and the kids and I will forever be grateful to my hardworking, loving husband:).

...upon leaving SC we went to Utah to celebrate Grammy's 90th birthday.  We were there with all of Brent's siblings and kids.  It was a wild house but a lot of fun...we went to the aquarium...
 ...we shot off rockets...

 ...we played with cousins....

 ...we played catch...
 ...we hula hooped...

 ....we ate and laughed....

 .....we did Grandpa surfing....
 ...we played table tennis...
 ...we danced....

 ......we shot guns...

While in Idaho we played dress up.....

....and house.  (We stayed at Gigi and Popi's house with Brad, Jessie, Aiden, Ryder, and baby Blakely for the first month until they moved into their new house and then Tawni, Ryan, Athen, Oakley, Zoey, and Aspen came for a couple weeks.  There was never a lack of friends.)

......we watered flowers....

 ...we cooked and ate.....
 .....we pickniced....
.....we boated.  Matt and Sarah were so nice to take us out on their new boat.

...we won arcade games.  Atlas is the Doodle Jump champion....
 ....we held babies....

......we took family pictures, an event all it's own....

...we went on a date.  (Brent came for a few weeks in the middle of our stay and all the adults went out to Dockside and Fire).

....we raced.  The kids did the Kid's Ironman Race (a 1 mile race around downtown).  And I did the Hayden Sprint Tri again and beat my time by 1 minute.

....we sewed.  Emily spent some time making clothes for her stuffed animals.

....we climbed trees.....

....we paraded.  Emily and Leilah did a cheer camp and were able to march in the 4th of July parade with the other cheerleaders.  The boys also did a week long invention camp with their cousins.

....we slip n' slided....

....we ping ponged and bbqed and volleyballed....

....we fire worked on the 4th of July....

...we ate desserts the size of our heads....

....Emily pulled out her first tooth all by herself!!....
 ...we floated and lounged...

 .....we smiled.....

...we had a fire pit and roasted marshmallows...

....we found Neverland....
.....and enough Happy Thoughts to FLY.  My bestie Alli and her husband Jamin took us parasailing.  The kids all had a blast.

....all that and we did some property hunting for the future, and I had my 10 year high school reunion.   We played family games and strengthened bonds.  The boys slept on the couch for a month but it was worth it and they knew that in the end they would get their own rooms at last.  We left Idaho and came to our new home in Jacksonville, NC.  We were happy to be reunited with Brent and get settled in.

Wow Meagan! That is a lot that you fit into your summer! But it sounds like so much fun! Glad you're back together again and getting settled in your new home!
