Freedom of the Seas

Brent and I had the opportunity to go on a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas last week.  Gigi came to watch the kids and we spent a week island hopping, floating on the waves, kayaking, rock climbing, snorkeling, eating, playing trivia, getting sand blasted, making new friends, eating, karyokying, shopping, surfing, napping, swimming in the waves, dancing, and more eating.  It was so nice to spend time together.  I am so thankful for Gigi who played with the kids and kept them all alive and happy through a few snow days.

At St. Marteen we took a taxi with some of our new friends to a beach where the planes land almost on top of you.
After the planes would land, the jet wash would kick up the sand and throw it in our faces.  I was trying to protect my face from getting sand blasted.

We recruited some awesome new friends to be our table mates and we spent much of our free time on the boat hanging out together.

On St. Thomas the scariest part of the day was the taxi ride to get to our excursion.  They drive like crazy people.

 Kayaking among the Mangroves

 Snorkeling with Barracuda

 and other fish

We had a hermit crab race and Brent's crab won.

We went on a little hike and learned a little about the island

We took a little hike on Coco Cay and found our own private beach where we did a little exercise circuit and saw a flock of wild peacocks.

On St. Marteen we also went zip lining.  It was pretty exciting.
