Red Top Mountain

For Labor Day we went camping at Red Top Mountain in Georgia with Brent's sister and her family. We got there late on Friday night and it was so hot out, even in the middle of the night. The next day we went to the lake and swam for most of the day. Sunday we went for a little walk down to the lake and then packed up and went home to avoid the coming rain. We had a really nice time, the kids loved the chance to get dirty and breath some fresh air.
The story of the frog: On our walk down to the lake each of the boys found a little frog that they got to play with. Coen thought that it would be a good idea to throw his frog in the lake. The first throw it was kind of cute to watch the little frog swim back to the shore. Coen was able to pick him back up and play with him some more. The second time he threw the frog into the lake, a hungry fish came and ate the little frog. It was a good opportunity to teach the kids about the circle of life.

She pulled each one of those nuts out of her pockets.

Who's walking who?
Emy and Aubrey with their piggy tails. Since watching Tangled, Emy wants to spend all her time brushing her hair and brushing my hair, and pretty much any hair that she can get her hands on. Aubrey was nice enough to let her brush her hair for a while.
We went swimming up at the lake at Red Top Mountain. The lake was beautiful and the beach was sandy. There were a lot of little fish in the lake and they weren't shy, they kept biting our legs and toes, luckily it didn't really hurt but it was an interesting experience.
